Bright-Eyed and Bushy-Tailed
Is just how I feel when I use this NARS- Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte. I purchased this color specifically to use on my lower waterline to give me a wide-eyed look. This is a common trick: use a light colored pencil on your waterline to create the illusion of brighter and more awake eyes. I just wasn’t convinced it was really worth the added expense of an extra eye pencil, but then I stumbled across this lovely NARS video on youtube and had to have it!
I’m happy to say I’m not regretting the purchase. It really does provide a pick-me-up when I haven’t gotten the proper z’s the night before. It distracts from my dark under eye circles and focuses attention straight to my eyes, and the Rue Bonaparte color really complements my hazel eyes well. It lets me pretend I’m a peppy, spring chicken…even if just for the day.
Other reasons I love this pencil:
- I’m a contact lens wearer and experience no sensitivity when using this product on my waterline
- It is extremely gentle and goes on smooth with no tugging or pulling
- Lasts all day
I’m a contact lens wearer and suffer no sensitivity when using this product. It is extremely gentle and goes on smooth with no tugging or pulling yet lasts all day.
The only con is actually the reason it’s such a great product. Because it’s waterproof, it takes some extra care to take it completely off at the end of the night. In no way a deal breaker, but something to consider if you don’t like to fuss with makeup remover.
Perhaps a tad pricey for an eyeliner at $25- but worth every penny for such a smooth and lasting formula.
